Aquatics Coordinator- CAMP
The Aquatics Coordinator works closely with the camp leadership team to design and deliver a high-quality, safe, and engaging swim program. Our camp operates two pools, and all campers participate daily in both instructional swim and free swim. The Aquatics Coordinator supports a team of lifeguards, swim instructors, and group counselors to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive experience for campers and staff.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee the camp’s comprehensive aquatics program with HKCs Head Lifeguards.
- Ensure the safety of all campers and staff in and around the pool area.
- Coordinate and oversee age- and skill-appropriate swim instruction.
- Create and manage swim staff schedules for instructional swim, free swim, and pool maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and safe pool facility and monitor daily operations in compliance with local health and safety regulations.
- Train group counselors on best practices for swim instruction, supervision, and behavior management before and throughout the summer.
- Attend leadership meetings and staff training before the start of camp.
- Supervise aquatics staff and provide ongoing feedback and support.
Position Requirements:
- Available for the full duration of the camp and training season.
- Current Lifeguard and WSI certifications.
- Experience teaching swim lessons to children.
- Minimum of one year of staff supervision experience.
- Experience with pool facility management.
- Prior summer camp experience preferred.

Position Details:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary (Summer)
- Pay: $25/hour
- Experience Required: 1 year of relevant experience (preferred)
