Bronx House is seeking a reliable and versatile Porter/Driver to help maintain facility operations and support program needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle basic maintenance tasks.
- Monitor building systems and report issues promptly. Perform minor repairs as directed.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance materials.
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries.
- Ensure proper setup and breakdown for programs, classes, and community events.
- Support emergency procedures (fire drills, evacuations, incident response).
- Keep outdoor areas clean and safe.
- Transport senior and afterschool members safely to and from destinations.
- Provide flexible coverage, including early, late, weekday, and weekend shifts.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School or GED diploma required.
- Must be able to read, speak and write in English.
- Must have a clean CDL with P and S endorsement or be able to obtain one in 1st 3 months of employment.
