Bronx House Summer Camp Counselors will be responsible for managing campers daily during activities and on field trips. This position runs 7 ½ weeks from June 30-August 19. Mon-Fri, 8 am-5:30 pm.

Salary: $2,750 for the summer.

Job Details:

Ensure that age-appropriate activities are implemented for youth, grades 7-10.
Build positive relationships with campers and staff.
Actively engage with campers while they are participating in the activity.
Encourage youth to participate in all available activities actively, promote respect and teamwork.
Prepare campers for Bronx House culminating activities and events/performances.
Provide a safe, structured environment for student learning.
Attend all required trainings/meetings.
Maintain appropriate use of equipment, reporting necessary maintenance and updates regularly to the Unit Leader.
Accompany and supervise students on field trips.
Interact with parents and keep open lines of communication to better understand and manage children.
Participate in the total camp program including, late or overnights, all-camp events.
